This course is designed to support those who will be carrying out appraisals with their teams. We will be looking at why appraisals are used, how they can add value to individuals, teams and organisations and how they work alongside other managerial processes such as supervision to create a holistic, positive and supportive environment for all.
We will look at how to prepare for an appraisal, how to create a positive and effective agenda for appraisal and how to set good targets.
We will also look at the benefits of appraisal and the pitfalls of poor appraisal, with a focus on ensuring they can be avoided.
